Can I park my motorcycle/moped with Parkster?
Yes! 🏍️
Rules for motorcycle parking vary across the country. The general rule is that
the same rules apply for cars and motorcycles unless otherwise specified or if
there is no dedicated motorcycle parking available.
So, if there is no dedicated motorcycle parking or signage indicating a specific
motorcycle fee, you pay according to the applicable rate.
Many municipalities/cities have information on their websites regarding
motorcycle parking. This may include information on where to find dedicated
parking spaces, details about fees, and other general information that may be
useful.
For example: https://www.stockholm.se/TrafikStadsplanering/Parkering/Motorcykel/
It's not possible to stop my ticket, what should I do?
The most common reason for it not working as usual is the internet connection.
Check that you have coverage and connection to the internet. Restart your phone
and try changing location if the coverage is poor where you are standing.
If you have done all that and still have problems, you can contact us at 0775-33
30 30.
We are available on weekdays from 07:00 to 20:00 and on weekends & holidays from
08:00 to 18:00.
You can also contact us via kundtjanst@parkster.se

1. Open the phone settings
2. Search for the Parkster app
3. Select the desired language in 'Preferred Language'

Can I buy a ticket for someone else?
Yes you can!
When you purchase your ticket, you will enter the licence plate number for which
the ticket should be valid. The cost of the ticket will be invoiced according to
your chosen payment method.
Please note that the account holder is responsible for the payment.
What is a subscription for parking?
At parking lots where monthly tickets are offered, you can create a subscription
where the monthly ticket is automatically renewed (reactive subscription). At
some parking lots, only subscriptions for monthly tickets are offered (proactive
subscription), and here you start a subscription via a link that you receive
from the parking owner, employer, or landlord.
The different types of subscriptions differ, among other things, in terms of how
and when a ticket is renewed and how a subscription is created. The
subscriptions are only available for monthly tickets.
Subscriptions need to be started by you as a customer, Parkster cannot start a
subscription for you - but we can of course guide and help with information if
needed.
Proactive subscription
* Ticket is valid for the calendar month, i.e. from the first to the last day
of the month.
* Ticket is automatically created in advance on the 15th.
* Proactive subscriptions are started via links received from the parking
owner, employer, landlord, etc. They are usually shared via websites and
intranets.
* To start a proactive subscription, you need to have a Swedish social security
number or a coordination number. The coordination number is entered as a
social security number.
* The subscription has no curing time but needs to be terminated by the 14th of
the month to avoid the creation of a new ticket for the following month.
* Change of payment responsibility can be done via My Pages.
* Ticket is invoiced in advance. On the 16th, in the same month the ticket is
created for the following month, the ticket is added to the order and the
customer is invoiced via the selected payment method.
* Where there is a limited number of subscriptions, you can join a waiting list
and be offered a subscription when available. Parkster cannot see your
position in the queue or move it to a new position.
* The subscription is terminated by you as a customer via the app or via My
Pages.
Reactive subscription - automatic renewal
* Ticket is automatically created when the previous one expires.
* The subscription is started by you as a customer either via the app or via
SMS.
* The subscription is terminated by you as a customer via the app, SMS, and via
My Pages.
* Change of payment responsibility can be done via My Pages.
* The subscription has no curing time but needs to be terminated before the
current ticket expires to avoid the creation of a new ticket.
I accidentally ended my subscription and now I have to stand in queue to get a new one. Is there a way to solve this?
Oops!
Unfortunately, we cannot move or change your spot in the queue. If you have any
questions about your spot in the line, we recommend you to contact the entity
managing the subscription you are queuing for, such as your employer, landlord,
or parking lot owner.
I need to apply for authorization. What does this mean?
There are certain parking spaces that have restrictions on who has access to
start a ticket at the parking zone. This is where authorization is applied. It
is therefore required that one has authorization to be able to start a ticket.
Authorization is usually available for staff parking at, for example, hospitals.
Tickets with authorization can only be purchased by customers who have been
granted authorization in advance.
How do I get authorization?
You obtain authorization through designated administrators, which is usually the
immediate supervisor. Information about the requirements for, for example, staff
parking with authorization is usually found on the workplace's intranet.
Generally, individuals affected by authorization receive information about this
through intranet postings or some form of communication.
Upon receiving authorization, an email with information is sent. If the
authorization is revoked, you will also receive information about this via
email.
Can I park my camper van/caravan with Parkster?
Of course you can!
We are located at motorhome sites and campsites around the country. Our green
signs are on site where we are located, and you start your parking just as usual
in the app or via SMS.
Please note that rules may vary depending on the campsite or motorhome site.
Also, pay attention to the parking lot signs as some parking spaces are reserved
for regular cars and prohibit parking of motorhomes. See the signage for
specific regulations for your parking space.
What do you need to consider before parking a motorhome? Find out here.

How do parking permits for people with disabilities work?
For people with disabilities, a special parking permit can be issued. The permit
can be issued to both disabled individuals who drive motor vehicles themselves
and to other disabled individuals who regularly need assistance from the driver
outside the vehicle.
Validity, use, and parking fees
A parking permit is valid for a certain period, but for a maximum of 5 years.
The parking permit is valid throughout the country and provides:
* The right to park for up to three hours where parking is prohibited or
allowed for a shorter period than three hours according to a local traffic
regulation.
* The right to park for up to 24 hours where parking is allowed for at least
three but less than 24 hours according to a local traffic regulation.
* The right to park in parking spaces reserved for disabled people with parking
permits by local traffic regulations, observing the specified maximum parking
duration for such a space, and the right to park for up to three hours on a
pedestrian street.
* The right to park for up to three hours on a pedestrian street.
When a parking permit for disabled people is used, it should be placed in the
front part of the vehicle so that it is clearly visible and readable from the
outside.
A parking permit does not entitle parking in a space designated for a specific
purpose or type of vehicle.
Parking is not always free of charge in parking spaces for people with parking
permits for disabled people.
The parking fee is a municipal matter, decided by the municipal council in each
municipality. Regarding the parking fee for parking spaces for people with
parking permits for disabled people, the general rule is that a parking fee must
be paid.
However, some municipalities in the country do not charge any parking fees for
parking spaces intended for people with a valid parking permit. This varies from
municipality to municipality. If a customer is unsure about the regulations,
they can either check the municipality's website or contact the municipality
directly.
Can I use Parkster even if you do not have a Swedish social security number?
Yes you can! When creating an account via the website, you can indicate that you
do not have a Swedish social security number.
Through the app, you can choose to register without verifying with BankID. In
that case, you will provide your name, address, and select your country.
If you do not have a Swedish socual security number/BankID, you must register a
bank account or credit card as a payment method. It is not possible to start a
parking session without this being registered.
By accepting the terms of use and privacy policy during the creation process,
Parkster cannot create an account for you as a customer, but we can certainly
guide and assist with information if needed.
Can I use Parkster with my coordination number?
Yes! When creating an account via the app or the website, you can indicate that
you do not have a Swedish social security number. This means that the
registration is done without providing the coordination number.
If you do not have a Swedish social security number, you must register a bank
card or credit card as a payment method. It is not possible to start a parking
session without this being registered.
As you accept the terms of use and privacy policy during the creation process,
Parkster cannot create an account for you, but we can certainly guide you and
provide assistance if needed.
What is a coordination number?
A coordination number is an identity designation for individuals who are not or
have not been registered in the Swedish population register. The purpose of the
coordination number is to enable authorities and other societal functions to
identify individuals even if they are not registered in the Swedish population
register. The number looks like a personal identity number but has the number 60
added to the birth date.
Can I use Parkster to purchase a ticket for residential parking?
Yes you can!
There are different solutions for purchasing a residential parking permit. The
easiest way to find out what applies where you live is through the municipality
or the landlord's website or intranet. In some cases, for example, a residential
permit may be required in order to purchase or validate a residential parking
permit.
At some residential parking spaces, an external residential permit may be
required for the ticket purchased via Parkster to be valid. For example, this
may be the case for residential parking where you need to apply for a specific
residential permit through the municipality or property owner. The ticket can be
purchased by anyone, but it is only valid when accompanied by an external
permit. Information on how to apply for a permit is usually available on the
issuer's website or through information provided upon moving in.
Since the permit is managed and issued by an external party, Parkster does not
have the ability to see who is entitled to a permit or who has it or not.
Questions about a permit of this kind should be directed to the issuer of the
permit.
Generally, the app will indicate if a specific residential permit is required.
Purchased a ticket but missing a valid permit
If you have purchased a ticket for residential parking via Parkster but do not
have a valid permit, parking attendants may issue penalty charges for valid
reasons. Therefore, make sure you have a valid permit when purchasing this type
of ticket.
How do I activate/deactivate SMS parking and voicemail?

needs to be activated on your account. When starting a new account, this is

via My pages or with the help of Parkster (we can only activate the function,
not deactivate it).
Activate/deactivate via My Pages

response activated" - this should be checked if you wish to be able to park

3. Click 'Save changes' to confirm the modification.
What payment methods do you offer?
You will be charged afterwards through a combined invoice for all your completed
parkings during the invoice month. Currently, you can choose between three
different payment methods:

for.
The default payment method is paper invoice. You can update your payment method
and change your details at any time by logging in to My Pages. In the app, you
will find My Pages in the menu.

How do I find a parking space in the app?
Find parking space via map view/search field
When entering the app and having location info activated in the phone settings,
a map view is displayed and marking an approximate location as well as any
nearby parking spaces. There is also a list showing nearby parking spaces and
other suggestions. An approximate estimate of the distance to the parking space
is shown as well.
If location info is turned off in the phone settings, an overview of the map is
displayed and one can then zoom in and move around to reach the desired location
and see parking spaces in a specific area.
'Nearby' is a tool to display parking spaces that are nearby using location
info/GPS on the phone. The options shown may not always be accurate. The
location info is also based on the phone and not the vehicle. In case of
uncertainty, we recommend you to always check the current signage on-site.
In the search field, you can search by zone code, street name, or by specifying
the city where you want to park. If you choose a city in the search field, the
map view will also move to the specific city allowing you to zoom in and
navigate around the map to find a specific location.
Fee and cost information

space, you can press "Fee and cost information" via the specific parking space.

charges and costs that may/will be added is shown. You can also choose to change

Parking wardens ensure that parking regulations are followed and that traffic
flows smoothly. They also contribute to increasing accessibility and reducing
the risk of accidents on the roads.
When you create a digital ticket using Parkster for parking, the parking warden
performs a search for your licence plate using their handheld device. This way,
the parking warden can see your active ticket.
You don't need any physical sticker in your car to show that you have an active
ticket via Parkster. Smooth, right?

What are the rules for personalized licence plates?
You can use Parkster with a personalized licence plate. Simply enter the licence
number that appears on the licence plate.
Identification mark
Once you have paid for your personalized licence plate, the Swedish Transport
Agency will send new licence plates and an identification mark.
The identification mark contains the vehicle's regular registration and
identification marking (chassis number), as well as the designation of the
personalized plate. The mark must be present on the vehicle in order to use the
personalized plates. It should be placed on the rear right side window of the
vehicle. If this is not possible, it should be attached to another location
where it can be easily read.
On the Swedish Transport Agency's website, you can read more about the
requirements for owning a personalized licence plate.
What are the rules for parking with a trailer?
Generally, you need to have two tickets if you occupy two parking spaces, one
for the car and one for the trailer.
It's important to check the signage in the parking area to see what applies. You
can also contact the parking owner if you are unsure about the rules. Contact
information may be available on the parking area signage or found on the parking
owner's website.
I forgot to stop my ticket when I left the parking lot, what should I do now?
We understand that life can get in the way and you may forget to stop your
ongoing ticket.
The fee for your ticket goes to the parking owner for the parking spot, and
therefore we at Parkster cannot change the cost of your ticket without their
approval. It is up to the parking owner to decide whether a cost adjustment is
approved or not. Parkster can assist you by investigating whether the parking
owner approves of us adjusting the cost. You are welcome to contact us at 0775 -
33 30 30 or kundtjanst@parkster.se and we will help you.
The responsibility to stop the ticket when you leave the parking spot lies with
you as the user. We recommend using the slider in the app to set a stop time
that suits your needs. If you forget to end the ticket when leaving the parking
spot, the chosen stop time will take care of it for you.
We also recommend our overpayment protection which reminds you to end your
ticket when you drive away from the parking spot, in case you happen to forget.
How does it work at parking zones with camera parking?
Automatic camera parking reads the license plate at the entrance and exit of a
parking lot. At some parking lots, the parking starts automatically, but at
others, manual start is required. This function is linked to parking garages and
areas with cameras that read the license plate at entry and exit. This could,
for example, be parking garages with barriers. The regulations for the parking
lot are generally indicated by signs but are also displayed in the app.
A parking that starts automatically via camera reading is always linked to a
private account (not a Business, At work, or Family account). You activate your
car via 'Vehicles' in the app and then click on 'Camera Parking' and select the
car on which you want to activate the camera reading.
Information about the start and stop of the ticket is sent as a notification to
your phone, so make sure to have this activated in your phone's settings.
We recommend only activating camera parking as a service if you are going to
park at a location that has automatic camera parking with Parkster.

I have accidentally bought the wrong ticket, what should I do?
If you have accidentally started an incorrect short-term ticket, you need to
stop it and then start a new, correct ticket.
Since a long-term ticket is valid for a predetermined period, it cannot be
terminated prematurely. To investigate the matter, you need to contact us
without delay.

Please note that you are responsible for selecting the correct ticket, and there
are no guarantees that a long-term ticket can be terminated prematurely.
I have an epa tractor, can I buy a ticket through Parkster?
If you are not yet 18 years old, you cannot create an account via Parkster as it
involves entering into a contract. To park your moped or microcar using
Parkster, you can request to borrow an account from a parent or legal guardian.
The person who has signed the account is responsible for the activity on the
account, as well as ensuring payment of the invoice.
When you turn 18, you can finally create your own account with Parkster.
Something to look forward to! 🥳
