What does express parking mean?
With express parking, you can park without creating a Parkster account. It's a
convenient way to park for those who are not frequent Parkster users or only
plan to use Parkster for a short period π±.
If you already have an account with Parkster and wish to use express parking,
you need to first log out from your account.
When you use express parking, you will pay directly after the parking session
ends. Depending on the country where you park, there are different payment
methods to choose from.Β
Since express parking is an additional service, there is a fee per purchase. The
fee is 5 SEK in Sweden and 0.5 EUR in Germany and Austria.
Due to contractual reasons, some of our clients have decided that this
additional service cannot be offered in their parking lots. If you attempt to
start on such a parking lot, you will instead be prompted to create an account
to start a ticket.

How does it work if I want to use express parking in another country?
Just like usual! Even when you're visiting Germany and Austria, you can express
park with the same account you park with in Sweden. Smooth, right?
How do I start, extend, and end an express parking session?
With express parking you can park without creating an Parkster account. A smooth
way of parking for those of you who are not yet a frequent Parkster user or if
you want to park without creating an account.
If you already have an account with Parkster and wish to use express parking,
you need to log out of your account first.
Due to contractual reasons, some of our clients have decided that this
value-added service cannot be offered in their parking lots. If you attempt to
start on such a parking lot, you will instead be prompted to create an account
to start a ticket.
How do I start an express parking?
1. Open the Parkster app
2. Choose the country where you want to park (Sweden, Germany, or Austria) ->
Get started
3. Enter the zone code or choose a zone near your current location
4. Select the duration of your parking using the slider
5. Click on the 'Continue' button
6. Choose payment
7. Select a vehicle or add a new one
8. Follow the steps for your chosen payment method
9. Your parking has started and your active parking can be found under
'Tickets'
How do I extend an express parking?
1. Open the Parkster app
2. Go to 'Tickets' and click on the ongoing parking that you want to extend
3. Click on the "Change end time" button
4. Select your new end time using the slider
5. Confirm with the 'Confirm end time' button
6. Your parking has now been extended and your active parking can be found
under 'Tickets'
When you extend your ticket before the end time is reached, it is considered a
new purchase. This means a new reservation for a new amount. Please note that
the new amount is calculated from when you originally started the ticket. The
previous reservation is refunded/released immediately upon confirmation of the
extension.
How do I end an express parking?
1. Open the Parkster app
2. Go to 'Tickets' and click on the ongoing parking that you want to end
3. Click on the 'Stop parking' button and confirm
4. Your parking has now been stopped.
If you end your parking early, the remaining amount will be automatically
refunded to your account based on your chosen payment method. If you are already
using express parking in your country and want to continue doing so in another
country, you must first close your express account and then follow the steps for
"How to start an express parking".
Which payment methods can be used for express parking?
Depending on the country where you are using express parking, different payment
methods are offered. All payment methods involve making the payment when
starting the ticket (long-term ticket) or when the ticket is ended (short-term
ticket).

How do I close an express account?

If you no longer want your express parking account, you can close the account
via the app.
Close your express account via the app
1. Tap on 'More' and select 'My pages'
2. Tap on 'Remove your data'
3. Tap on 'Remove your data' in the confirmation box to confirm the
termination.
The account cannot be closed if there is an unpaid ticket.
Can I charge my car while I'm express parking?
It is not possible to charge your electric car with express parking.
If you want to charge your electric car via Parkster, you need to have a
Parkster account.

How does payment work with express parking?
When you start an express parking session, we charge the amount based on the
stop time selected at the start. Depending on the chosen payment method, it may
vary whether we reserve the amount or charge it directly.
Swish - You pay for each parking session. Currently, it can only be used for
express parking.
Apple Pay/Google Pay - You pay after each parking session.
Card charging - (VISA, Mastercard, VISA Electron, Maestro). The charge is made
automatically from your account after each completed parking session.
PayPal - You pay after each parking session.
If you have Swish as your payment method and you end the ticket before the
automatic stop time is reached, the new amount will be charged, and any surplus
will be refunded immediately.
Extension of Ticket
If you extend your ticket before the stop time is reached, it will be a new
purchase. This means that a new reservation/charge (depending on the chosen
payment method) will be made for a new amount. Please note that the new amount
is calculated from when you originally started the ticket. The previous
reservation/charge will be refunded once the extension has been confirmed.
Long-term Parking
When starting a long-term ticket via express parking, the payment is made
immediately as it is a fixed cost. If the long-term ticket is started via an
account with login credentials, you will be charged retroactively on the 16th of
each month.
Failed Charge
If we are unable to charge the estimated amount for any reason, it will be
indicated by a message. Reasons for not being able to process a charge may
include insufficient funds or the bank or card issuer blocking the purchase.
In this case, you can either try again or choose a different payment method.
How do I change the payment method for express parking?
When you use express parking, the payment method used for the latest parking
session is preselected.
If you have used express parking or selected a payment method without completing
an express parking session, an icon for the selected payment method will be
displayed at the bottom of the page when you enter a parking space. Here you can
change the payment method or choose to create a Parkster account.
Change payment method for express parking:
1. At the chosen zone, press the icon displaying the selected payment method.
2. Choose a new payment method. The page will be instantly updated with the new
payment method.
Or:
1. Press 'More' and select 'My Pages'.
2. Press the selected payment method at the top of the page.
3. Choose a new payment method. The page will be instantly updated with the new
payment method.
How do I get a receipt for express parking?
Just like when you park using a Parkster account, receipts for completed Tickets
are displayed under 'Tickets' and 'Reciepts' in the app. If you want or need to
report the purchase, you can send a receipt to your email.
1. Go to 'Tickets' and then 'Receipt'
2. Select the ticket for which you want to receive a receipt
3. Enter the email address where the receipt should be sent
4. Press 'Send receipt'
A confirmation notice will appear, and you can dismiss it by clicking 'Ok'.
If you have an earlier version of the app where this feature is not available,
you can take a screenshot of the receipt.

If you already have an account with Parkster and wish to use express parking,
you first need to log out of your account.
For contractual reasons, some of our clients have decided that this value-added
service cannot be offered at their parking spaces. If you attempt to start
parking at such a location, you will instead be given the option to create an
account in order to start a Ticket.
If a long-term Ticket (for example, a monthly ticket) is available for the
selected parking space, it will be indicated on the zone view in the app under
'Long-term Tickets'.
1. Open the Parkster app.
2. Select which country you want to park in - Sweden, Germany, or Austria, and
press 'Find parking.
3. Find the parking space via the map view or by entering the zone code.
4. Press 'Long-term Tickets'.
5. Press the plus sign next to the relevant ticket. If you want to purchase
more than one, press the plus sign until you reach the desired number.
6. Press 'Continue.
7. Choose your desired payment method.
8. Enter the registration number and press 'Continue'.
9. Follow the instructions for registering the registration number.
10. Follow the instructions for payment.
11. Parking is started and the amount is reserved.
You can choose to add the registration number and select the payment method
before you start your first Ticket. Verification for payment methods like Swish
and Google Pay/Apple Pay must always be done for each individual express
parking. If you have registered a payment card, no verification is needed for
each individual purchase.
